Abstract
competências tornando a aprendizagem bem-sucedida.
The final report of Teacher Training and Geography in the 3rd cycle of Education presented to Portucalense University serves to fulfill the necessary requirements for obtaining a Master's degree in Geography and History Teaching in the 3rd and secondary education cycles. This was done under the guidance of Professor Isabel Vaz de Freitas and Professor Marta Abelha. This Teacher Training report was elaborated as an integrated part and final stage from the integrated Teacher training in the curricular units developed throughout the Master, with the goal of reflecting and analyzing the course of the same and put together the experiences provided and experienced in its course. The Teacher Training was developed in the academic year 2012/2013, at EB 2/3 Frazão School, in Paços de Ferreira, and lasted 120 hours. This report aims to present the context of the Pedagogical Practice making a description of the context, explanation of the plan, description and justification of the performed activities, reflection and criticism of the results and their input into the professional development of teachers presenting, at last, methodologies applied by history and geography teachers in the classroom context. The analysis of the results allows us to check the frequency of use of some methodologies as well, meet some methodological choices made by teachers, according to the perspective of the students that participated in the study. With the completion of Teacher training I realized that the success of learning in History and Geography, in addition to assume an active and meaningful learning by the students, especially requires a daily reflection on the part of teachers about their teaching practices so that students can, the best possible way, acquire knowledge and skills making a successful learning.
