Nos dias de hoje, assuntos como insucesso e a abandono escolar são transversais as
várias culturas, aos países, as comunidades, ate as escolas, sendo uma preocupação
não só local, mas sim mundial. Em muitas sociedades existem estes fenómenos sendo
os fatores explicativos de natureza diversa, logo, a intervenção para dirimir os mesmos
fenómenos também permanecem de alguma forma mais particulares que coletivos,
levando-se sempre em conta as condições das várias sociedades e a sua constituição,
vivencias sociais e económicas, com a sua cultura e modo de vida. Este estudo,
realizou-se em Angola, no liceu do município de Porto Amboim e retrata os fatores
explicativos do insucesso e abandono escolar da mesma escola. A população deste
município é constituída maioritariamente por pescadores, criadores de gado e
camponeses. A investigação realizou-se num contexto de uma taxa de insucesso e
abandono escolar considerável, tendo sido considerados diversos fatores e variadas
explicações, entre as quais destacamos aquelas que são do domínio das esferas
envolvidas, o aluno, a escola, a famílias e o meio social. Centralizamos o nosso
objetivo em desenvolver um plano de intervenção capaz de dirimir o índice de
insucesso e abandono escolar, levando a cabo um estudo de caracter misto qualitativo
e quantitativo, tendo sido realizado, exclusivamente com a população da 11ª classe do
curso de ciências humanas, que pela sua composição são os que apresentam um maior
índice de insucesso e abandono escolar. Á população em questão, foram aplicados
questionários, entrevistas e foi feito também um levantamento detalhado aos
instrumentos escolares que são indicadores de insucesso e abandono escolar dos
últimos três anos, permitindo chegar as conclusões observadas no escopo desta
investigação. Após uma análise minuciosa e demorada, chegou-se a conclusão que
existem alguns fatores intrinsecamente ligados aos fenómenos em estudo, tais como
maternidade/paternidade precoce, elevadas reprovações, fraca motivação, fraca
expetativa dos pais em relação a vida escolar dos filhos, infraestrutura escolar
inadequada, falta de um gabinete de apoio psicopedagógico funcional, maus modelos
sociais, etc. Urge a necessidade de atuar no sentido de haver uma escola digna, um prestação escolar e resultados eficientes, envolver a sociedade na formação integral
do individuo. Contudo, os alunos nesta escola não perderam vontade de envolveremse
nos assuntos escolares, carecendo de motivação.
Nowadays, issues such as failure and dropping out of school are cross-cutting across cultures, countries, communities, even schools, being a concern not only local, but global. In many societies these phenomena are the explanatory factors of a diverse nature, so the intervention to solve the same phenomena also remain somehow more particular than collective, always taking into account the conditions of the various societies and their constitution, experiences social and economic, with their culture and way of life. This study was carried out in Angola, at the high school in the municipality of Porto Amboim, and shows the explanatory factors for school failure and dropout at the same school. The population of this municipality is constituted mainly by fishermen, cattle farmers and peasants. The investigation was carried out in a context of a considerable failure rate and school drop-out, considering several factors and varied explanations, among which we highlight those that are in the domain of the involved spheres, the student, the school, the families and the environment Social. We centralized our objective in developing an intervention plan capable of solving the index of failure and dropout, carrying out a qualitative and quantitative mixed study, having been carried out exclusively with the population of the 11th class of the humanities course, which by their composition are those with a higher rate of failure and dropout. To the population in question, questionnaires, interviews were applied and a detailed survey was carried out on the school instruments that are indicators of school failure and dropout in the last three years, allowing to reach the conclusions observed in the scope of this investigation. After a thorough and time-consuming analysis, it was concluded that there are some factors intrinsically related to the phenomena under study, such as early parenthood, high reprobations, poor motivation, poor expectation of parents in relation to their children's school life, school infrastructure inadequate, lack of a functional psychopedagogical support office, bad social models, etc. It is urgent to act in the sense of having a dignified school, a school performance and efficient results, to involve society in the integral formation of the individual. However, the students at this school have not lost the will to get involved in school affairs, lacking motivation.
