Abstract
digitais a elas associados têm vindo a transformar todo o processo educacional.
apoiar estes alunos.
The teaching and learning processes are changing. In the last three decades we have witnessed the emergence and growth of a digital generation and the transformation of the whole educational process due to the use and constant evolution of information technology and digital educational resources associated with it. In fact, the digital educational resources have had a positive impact on student learning in various subjects, particularly in mathematics, strengthening creativity, critical thinking and allowing teaching in the classroom and outside it. This last advantage was particularly helpful in supporting hospitalized students. Over the past few years, there has been a concern to support these students. However, the implementation of this support has encountered some setbacks, not only by the lack of autonomy of the participants, but also by the absence of an appropriate strategy and resource scarcity. In this context, the main objective of this work is to propose a model of a RED that supports and enhances the learning of mathematics, not only to students of regular schools, but also to those who are hospitalized and / or prevented from being present in the classrooms. The proposed model was validated through a case study, developed during the 2nd and 3rd periods of the 2014-2015 school year, involving special education students in a hospital setting, Math students of the 12th grade from a school located in Oporto and Math teachers. This case study was divided into four phases: drafting of the platform prototype "O teu Mestre"; presentation and disclosure; monitoring of the platform use by the participants and subsequent implementation of a questionnaire. The results obtained allowed to conclude that this RED model contributes to success in mathematics, to serve as an important complement and motivator of the teaching-learning process in the classroom and outside of it as a fundamental support instrument for students that, for health reasons, are unable to attend school regularly.
