Abstract
This report is the result of a six-month internship at the Salvador Caetano Group (GSC), in the Human Resources department, as part of the Master's Degree in Management at Universidade Portucalense. The main aim of the internship was to provide practical experience in the recruitment and selection process, enabling the development of technical, analytical and strategic skills. During the internship, the student took part in all the activities inherent in the recruitment process, such as publicizing job opportunities, screening applications, interviews, developing reports, accompanying clients and supporting transversal projects, Kaizen initiatives and a project to redesign the application form. Through this experience, opportunities for improvement were identified, namely the automation of operational tasks, the standardization of procedures and the adoption of digital tools such as the Cegid software. A key proposal is the progressive integration of Artificial Intelligence into the recruitment process, with the aim of increasing efficiency, reducing response times and improving the candidate experience. This report combines theoretical foundations with an analysis of practice, presenting concrete suggestions for making the GSC's recruitment process more agile, effective and aligned with the challenges of digital transformation.
