Abstract
Este trabalho de investigação centrou-se na análise de um estudo de caso de Aprendizagem Baseada em Projetos (PBL), enquanto prática de inovação pedagógica centrada no estudante, no contexto de um curso de licenciatura numa instituição de ensino superior privada em Portugal. O estudo procurou analisar o contributo dos projetos interdisciplinares para o desenvolvimento e valorização das competências transversais dos estudantes do ensino superior, enquanto dimensão essencial das abordagens pedagógicas centradas no estudante. A metodologia do estudo foi de natureza qualitativa, seguindo a abordagem de estudo de caso. Os métodos de recolha de dados incluem o inquérito por questionário e a narrativa escrita, com o objetivo de recolher as perceções e opiniões dos estudantes no final da implementação do projeto PBL. Os dados recolhidos permitem constatar o impacto que, na opinião dos participantes, a participação na experiência de ensino e aprendizagem baseada em PBL teve no desenvolvimento das suas principais competências transversais/genéricas. Os resultados, em geral, sugerem uma visão positiva das experiências da PBL e o papel do projeto interdisciplinar no desenvolvimento de uma aprendizagem integral e centrada no estudante, promovendo de forma intencional as competências transversais. Neste sentido, os resultados sugerem o uso alargado de metodologias ativas nos cursos do ensino superior, através de projetos interdisciplinares de que é exemplo a abordagem PBL.
This research project focused on a Project-Based Learning (PBL) experience, which took place with undergraduate students of a programme in Social Education, at a private higher education institution in Portugal. The main goal of the study was to analyze the contribution of interdisciplinary projects for the development and enhancement of transversal skills of higher education students. The methodology of the study was based on a qualitative approach, using a case study. Data collection methods include questionnaire survey and written narrative, with the aim of collecting students' perceptions and opinions at the end of the implementation of the PBL project. The collected data allow us to see the impact that, in the participants' opinion, participation in the PBL-based teaching and learning experience had on the development of their main transversal/generic skills. The results, in general, suggest a positive view of PBL experiences and the role of the interdisciplinary project in the development of integral and student-centered learning, intentionally promoting transversal skills. In this sense, the results encourage the widespread use, in all courses, of active methodologies through interdisciplinary projects, such as the PBL approach.
