Abstract
Este trabalho apresenta um estudo conduzido num Grupo Empresarial com liderança
internacional. Foram utilizadas análises documentais e técnicas de análise do discurso foram
para sinalizar de que formas a Responsabilidade Social Corporativa e a educação para a
carreira são valorizadas por este grupo internacional. Utilizou-se o Inquérito sobre
Responsabilidade Social Corporativa e Educação para a carreira, com 18 perguntas abertas,
sendo as primeiras seis respeitantes à Responsabilidade Social Corporativa e as últimas 12
centradas na Educação para a carreira. O Inquérito sobre o Fundo de Emergência Social foi
constituído por 16 perguntas abertas. O Inquérito às Assistentes Sociais do Fundo de
Emergência Social foi utilizado para investigar a contribuição dos Assistentes Sociais nessa
área, bem como para entender o seu estatuto.
A amostra desta investigação é composta pelo Diretor da área de desenvolvimento,
pelo Coordenador e por três Assistentes Sociais do Fundo de Emergência Social. A sua
colaboração foi a disponibilização de informação sob a forma de uma entrevista na qual foram
explorados os dois eixos principais deste estudo. Com relação à análise dos dados obtidos nas
entrevistas, realizou-se a análise de conteúdo através do tratamento pré-analítico, exploratório
e qualitativo e interpretação das respostas. Foi concretizada a revisão crítica de documentos.
O sucesso e a eficácia deste grupo internacional são marcados pela ambição,
capacidade de resistir a dificuldades, partilha de valores, espírito de unidade e sentido de
equipa que é partilhado nas suas diferentes empresas; a sua posição de liderança é também
devida à preocupação de ver reforçados e desenvolvidos os Valores de trabalho, a disciplina, o
rigor e a competência; estando a sua gestão orientada para responder a desafios imediatos a
partir de uma perspetiva de Responsabilidade Social Corporativa que lhe é própria,
incorporando preocupações sobre impactos, tanto a médio como a longo prazo. Além de
capacitação interna, são dirigidos investimentos para capacitação externa, promovendo ações
como participação em seminários e a criação de parcerias em diversas áreas de gestão com
entidades de ensino de prestígio.
Os resultados indicam a criação de uma escola de formação, com iniciativas de
formação interna e externa, em parcerias com entidades pedagógicas de prestígio. Destaca-se
o Management Trainees Program, desenvolvido há mais de 25 anos, caracterizado pela
construção de uma carreira através da aquisição de conhecimentos e competências adquiridas
na combinação de experiência no local de trabalho e um programa de formação.
This paper is a report on the findings of a study conducted at an international leading food group. Documentary analysis and discourse analysis techniques were used to examine how corporate social responsibility and career education are valued by this international group. The Survey on Corporate Social Responsibility and Career Education was used, with 18 open-ended questions, the first six related to Corporate Social Responsibility and the last 12 related to Education for the Career. The Survey on the Social Emergency Fund was made up of 16 open-ended questions. The Social Welfare Survey was used to investigate the contribution of social workers in this area, as well as to understand their status. The sample of this investigation is composed by the Director of the development area, by the Coordinator and two Social Assistants of the Social Emergency Fund. Their collaboration was the provision of information in the form of an interview where the two main axes of this study were explored: Corporate Social Responsibility and Career Education. With regard to the analysis of data obtained from interviews, it was accomplished through the pre-analytical, exploratory and qualitative treatment and interpretation of responses. Critical review of documents was also used. The success and effectiveness of this international group are marked by ambition, ability to resist difficulties, sharing of values, spirit of unity and team sense that is shared in its different companies, its leadership position is also due to the concern to see reinforced and developed values of work, discipline, rigor and competence, its management is geared towards responding to immediate challenges from a Corporate Social Responsibility perspective that is characteristic of it, incorporating concerns about impacts both in the medium and long term. In addition to internal training, it directs investments for external training by promoting actions such as participation in seminars and congresses worldwide and the creation of partnerships in various areas of management with prestigious teaching entities. Findings indicate the creation of a training school, with initiatives for internal and external training, in partnerships with prestigious teaching entities. Of particular note is the Management Trainees Program, developed for more than 25 years, characterized by building a career by obtaining knowledge and skills acquired in the combination of on-the-job experience and a training program.
