Novas técnicas e métodos de formação na construção civil.

Abstract

As empresas do Sector da Construção, devido ao nomadismo dos seus trabalhadores no desempenho das suas actividades, sentem grandes dificuldades para que estes actualizem os seus conhecimentos. A competitividade das empresas com o surgimento de novas técnicas, novos métodos, novos equipamentos, novos regulamentos, novos materiais, depende cada vez da actualização profissional dos seus trabalhadores. Formar, reciclar e disponibilizar informação aos colaboradores é uma necessidade crescente com que se debatem. A dificuldade aumenta quando o local de trabalho não é próximo da empresa, como acontece com a maior parte dos estaleiros da construção civil. De facto, a distância dos estaleiros às sedes das empresas é um obstáculo real que tem de ser superado, caso queiram investir no seu capital humano. O desenvolvimento das tecnologias da informação e comunicação (TIC) tem vindo a facilitar a disseminação da informação. Esta evolução tecnológica aproveitada pelas empresas do Sector da Construção permitirá de certa forma quebrar a barreira distância. Esta investigação visa demonstrar que a disseminação do conhecimento através de cursos desenvolvidos à medida, abrangendo todos os trabalhadores nos estaleiros da construção civil, aproveitando a Internet como instrumento de comunicação, é uma forma das empresas melhorarem as competências e as capacidades dos seus colaboradores, com custos reduzidos. Neste contexto, foram desenvolvidos conteúdos e disponibilizados numa plataforma, com a preocupação de respeitar as especificações técnicas utilizadas universalmente no sentido de possibilitar a sua reutilização noutros ambientes ou contextos, diferentes daqueles para os quais foram criados. Sendo um sector muito competitivo, em que qualquer investimento deve ter um retorno efectivo, a solução apresentada foi desenvolvida com o recurso a software livre, com a preocupação de diminuir os custos de aquisição e de manutenção. The companies in the building area feel great difficulties to make their workers bring up to date their knowledge on account of their nomadism while carrying out their jobs. The competitiveness of companies with the emergence of new techniques, new methods, new equipment, new regulations, new materials, increasingly depends on the upgrade training of their workers. Training, recycling and giving information to their workers is a growing need felt by the companies. The difficulties are bigger when they work far from the companies as it happens most of the times. Actually the distance between the place of work and the companies is a hindrance that must be overtaken if the companies want to invest in their human resources. The development of information and communication technologies (ICT) has made the spreading of the information easier. This technological evolution used by building companies may break the difficulties felt with the distance between the places where the workers stay and the companies. This thesis tries to show that the spreading of knowledge through courses made to order embracing every man working far from the companies and using the internet as a means of communication is a way that the companies have to improve the competences and skills of their workers with a low cost. In this context, subject matters have been developed and they are available on a platform trying to respect the technical specifications used worldwide in order to allow the use of the information in other contexts, different from those which they were created to. Being a highly competitive sector, in which any investment shall be an actual return, the solution presented was developed with the use of free software, with the desire to reduce acquisition costs and maintenance.
