Abstract
psicossexual do adulto emergente.
psicossexual do adulto emergente. A presente investigação procurou compreender qual o
adultos) a 4 sujeitos.
In this investigation it is assumed as a fundamental theoretical hypothesis that the experiences, attitudes and emotions are in direct relation with the affective, loving and psychosexual development of the emergent adult. Being that the concept of "emerging adulthood" has been gaining prominence, it becomes relevant to understand the importance of sexuality and love relationships in the process of development and personal growth. In this context, in addition to the importance of sexuality in the life of the individual, it is equally pertinent to perceive the importance of the relational dynamics for the psychosexual development of the emergent adult. The present research sought to understand the meaning of the amorous and sexual experiences experienced by the emergent adult and their importance in the process of psychosexual development. The study sample, collected in a non-probabilistic way, consists of 80 subjects, of whom 66 are female and 14 are male. The study comprised two phases that occurred simultaneously: a first one corresponding to a "parallel mixed design", consisting of the administration of questionnaires (Sociodemographic Questionnaire, Sternberg Triangular Love Scale, Klein Sexual Orientation Grid, Sexual Attitudes Scale, Questionnaire of Amorous Bonding and Questionnaire of Bonding to Father and Mother) and a second using semi-structured interviews (Psychosexual Narrative Interview for adults) to 4 subjects. The results showed differences of gender, and the female participants presented, compared to the male subgroup, more love, greater fluidity in sexual orientation and more communion. In contrast, the male subgroup revealed more permissiveness, impersonal sexual practices, and instrumentality. We conclude that female individuals appeared as more “conservative”, whereas the male subgroup proved to be more hedonistic rather than normative. Finally, the limitations and contributions of the present research are examined as well as some recommendations for future studies.
