Abstract
This study aims at analysing the relationship between international business and sustainability. It explores the sustainable innovation strategies that companies should implement in their business models to enhance their economic performance and become more competitive in the market. The significance of corporate social responsibility in developing these businesses, as well as legal matters, are also examined. The paper is rooted in a qualitative research methodology. It concludes that companies should adopt sustainable innovation strategies in international business to achieve sustainable competitive advantages. Regarding sustainable innovation, it was observed that companies innovate in the manufacturing process (producing more with less) and with the product (modifying it to make it more sustainable and greener).
