Abstract
propriedades psicométricas da Escala do Clima Emocional na Família (ECEF;
Albuquerque & Matos, 2020), bem como estudar a estabilidade temporal e a validade
convergente.
A escala
As
subescalas de ameaça, procura de recursos/recompensas e de tranquilização
apresentam correlações significativas e no sentido esperado com o clima emocional
no trabalho, o afeto negativo e positivo, a satisfação com a vida, o bem-estar subjetivo,
as preocupações parentais, a eficácia e a satisfação parental.
The emotional climate perceived by individuals in their life contexts plays an important role in interpersonal relationships and well-being. The existence of instruments to assess the emotional climate of family, school and work systems will increase knowledge about the role of emotions in these contexts. The main objective of this dissertation is to analyze the factor structure and psychometric properties of the Family Emotional Climate Scale (ECEF; Albuquerque & Matos, 2020), as well as to study the temporal stability and convergent validity. 106 parental figures participated in this study, aged between 23 and 77 years. In addition to the ECEF, other measures were used to assess the emotional climate at work, negative and positive affect, life satisfaction, subjective well-being, parental concerns and the sense of parental competence. The results of the three-dimensional structure of the ECEF through a confirmatory factor analysis suggest some limitations, despite the subscales having an adequate internal consistency. The emotions associated with the threat system were found to be age-related. The scale showed good test-retest stability over the four-week interval. The threat, resource/reward and reassuring subscales show significant correlations and in the expected sense with the emotional climate at work, negative and positive affect, life satisfaction, subjective well-being, parental concerns, effectiveness and parental satisfaction. The results of this study are an important preliminary contribution to the study of the measure, indicating its usefulness for research and clinical practice.
