Abstract
A presente dissertação aborda a problemática dos hábitos de leitura na
população juvenil no contexto Angolano, a partir de um estudo de caso. Assim,
nesta pesquisa, procurou-se conhecer os hábitos e práticas de leitura dos alunos
do 1.º ciclo do ensino secundário duma escola do Huambo, e paralelamente
discutir estratégias de promoção dos referidos hábitos de leitura junto dos
adolescentes.
No campo da revisão da literatura, discute-se a importância da leitura e
das estratégias que promovem a leitura, as práticas positivas no processo
docente educativo e suas implicações na formação do futuro leitor, analisando o
papel das famílias e do professor na promoção da leitura, no contexto angolano.
Utilizou-se, como método, o estudo de caso, e como instrumento de
recolha de dados o inquérito por questionário, tendo os resultados sido
comparados com outras pesquisas da mesma natureza, o que permitiu
contextualizar os dados obtidos no contexto teórico do campo de estudo, em
comparação com estudos de natureza semelhante desenvolvidos em países
Africanos.
Os resultados mostram que os alunos têm poucos hábitos de leitura e que
o papel da escola e do professor são fundamentais no contacto com o livro e no
desenvolvimento destes hábitos.
A análise descritiva dos dados e as reflexões sobre os dados dos
inquéritos tornam relevante, como subsídio empírico, a pertinência da pesquisa,
permitindo definir estratégias para a promoção da leitura no contexto estudado.
This essay discusses the problem of reading habits in young people in the Angolan context. In this study, we sought to know the habits and practices of students' reading of 1.º cycle of secondary education in a school in Huambo district, and in parallel to discuss strategies for the promotion of those reading habits among adolescents. The literature review discusses the importance of reading and the strategies that promote reading, and the positive practices in the educational process of education and its implications on the formation of the future reader, analyzing the role of the student and the teacher in educational contexts, pedagogical, social and cultural development. It was used as a method, the case study, and as an instrument of data collection the survey by questionnaire, and the results were compared with other studies of the same nature, which allowed to contextualize the data obtained in the theoretical context of the field of study and also on empirical field, in comparison with similar studies carried out in African countries. The results show that students have few reading habits and that the role of the school and the teacher are fundamental in contact with the book and in the development of these habits. The descriptive analysis of the data and reflections on the data of the surveys are relevant, as empirical allowance, the relevance of the research, allowing to define strategies for the promotion of reading in the context studied.
