Abstract
Neste trabalho discutem-se diferentes dimensões inerentes aos pressupostos teóricopráticos
que orientam a prática desportiva no Instituto Médio Politécnico Padre
Martins Ferreira e no Instituto Médio Politécnico do Lobito, instituições de ensino
angolanas. É concretizada a análise da relação entre a prática desportiva e o sucesso
escolar dos alunos do Instituto Médio Politécnico Padre Martins Ferreira e no Instituto
Médio Politécnico do Lobito.
Aplicou-se metodologia mista, com recurso a técnicas de recolha de dados qualitativos
e quantitativos. Concretizaram-se entrevistas a professores e administrou-se
inquéritos a estudantes.
Os alunos das duas instituições consideram, na sua maioria, a realização da prática
desportiva muito importante e, também maioritariamente, consideram que existe uma
relação entre a prática desportiva e o seu rendimento escolar. Este trabalho permite
salientar a relevância da articulação das instituições de ensino com a Delegação
Provincial da Juventude e Desportos na prossecução de iniciativas conducentes à
revitalização do desporto na escola.
This paper discusses different dimensions inherent to the theoretical-practical assumptions that guide sports practice at the Instituto Politechnic Padre Martins Ferreira and at the Instituto Politécnico do Lobito, Angolan educational institutions. The analysis of the relationship between the sports practice and the school success of the students of the Medium Polytechnic Institute, Padre Martins Ferreira and in the Medium Polytechnic Institute of Lobito, is carried out. Mixed methodology was applied, using qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques. Interviews were conducted with teachers and student surveys were conducted. The students of the two institutions consider the most important sports practice and, most of them, consider that there is a relation between sports practice and school performance. This work highlights the relevance of the articulation of educational institutions with the Provincial Delegation of Youth and Sports in the pursuit of initiatives leading to the revitalization of sport in school.
