Abstract
Preencheram o
Maslach Burnout Inventory- Human Services Survey, a escala Sobrecarga do Luto
Profissional, o Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, o Brief Pain Inventory e por
último World Health Organization of Life a versão reduzida.
A zona
igual forma a sintomatologia psicológica (ansiedade e depressão).
A Depressão
(HADS) prediz diversos domínios da QdV nomeadamente, o domínio Psicológico,
Relações Sociais e Meio Ambiente. Quanto à variável burnout (MBI-HSS), as variáveis
The aim of this study was to assess QoL and burnout in formal caregivers of nursing homes. In this sample attended 21 elements all female aged between 20 and 56 years. Completed the Maslach Burnout inventory- Human Services Survey, the scale of overload of professional mourning, the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, the Brief Pain Inventory and finally World Health Organization of Life reduced version. The main results showed that the sample suffered from average levels of burnout, professional grief and anxiety with mild symptoms. The lower back is where most of the sample complains, with a moderate intensity, which regards the QoL sample perceive as being good. It was possible to understand that there is no relationship between the years of professional experience and burnout, and it was noticed that the years of experience does not influence equally psychological symptoms (anxiety and depression). It also was concluded that the subscale emotional exhaustion MBI-HSS significantly influences QoL well as psychological symptoms, which in turn is influenced by professional mourning. Another relationship found in the investigation was the pain, as this significantly influences both QoL and burnout. Through regression analysis was possible to understand that the variable severity of pain predicts domains: physical and social relations of QoL. The depression (HADS) predicts many areas of QoL particular domain Psychological, Social Relations and the Environment. As for the variable burnout (MBI-HSS), the independent variables that were able to predict were the severity of pain and depression, where only the dimensions Emotional Exhaustion is predicted by the Depression and the Personal Achievement is predicted by Severity of Pain.
