dc.description.abstract | This study focuses on how music festivals are evolving to meet the needs of the new environmental regulations and how they contribute to realising the Sustainable Development Goals. The case study is about the Salzburg Electronic Music Festival, also called the Electric Love Festival, which is held in the Fuschlsee area of the Salzkammergut and is recognised as Austria’s top music event. A questionnaire designed especially for the study’s aims will be able to highlight the aspects of these events’ sustainability and accessibility that might be improved upon while also outlining doable alternatives that could lessen their impact on the environment. According to the study’s findings, certain initiatives are beginning to be used in planning these events, even if most of the measures conducted by these organisations are more successful and music oriented. The study offers fresh perspectives on how technological advancements could enhance the longevity and positive effects of concerts and music festivals on the local environment and population. | |
