dc.description.abstractThis case study addresses the seismic-resistant constructive systems, applied in housing construction in El Salvador. The traditional construction systems usually used are adobe, bahareque, and reinforced brick masonry (mixto). The improved bahareque system is based on the ancient technique known locally as Joya de Ceren bahareque, a technique used in the past, on the world heritage site of Joya de Cerén.pt_PT
