Comunidade e adaptação de serviços a idosos: Diagnosticar para educar.

Abstract

O envelhecimento demográfico é uma realidade nas sociedades ocidentais, devido ao aumento da longevidade e baixa de natalidade.O presente estudo centra-se nos indivíduos com idade igual ou superior a 55 anos de idade que, recorrendo ao questionário da Organização Mundial de Saúde "Lista de verificação de Características Fundamentais das Cidades Amigas das Pessoas Idosas" procura avaliar o quanto o concelho de Celorico de Basto é amigo das pessoas idosas tendo em consideração oito áreas: Espaços exteriores e edifícios; Transportes; Habitação; Participação social; Respeito e inclusão social; Participação cívica e emprego; Comunicação e informação; e, Serviços comunitários e saúde. Pretendemos também, saber qual a opinião dos inquiridos relativamente a outras áreas como, o Apoio social, Lazer/bem-estar, Informação/educação, Ações educativas, Informação/bem-estar, e Atividade lúdicas. O principal objetivo deste estudo é conhecer a situação atual dos idosos no concelho de Celorico de Basto e propor estratégias de intervenção para melhorar a sua qualidade de vida. No estudo, constatamos que a grande parte dos inquiridos sentiu a necessidade de esclarecer, logo de ínicio, que gosta do concelho, que se sente bem e feliz por residir no mesmo, talvez com o facto de os inquiridos terem vivido em Celorico de Basto durante a maior parte das suas vidas.

Demographic aging is a reality in Western societies, due to increased longevity and low in fertility. The present study focuses on individuals ages over 55 years who, using the questionnaire of the World Health Organization "Checklist Fundamental Characteristics of Cities Friends of the Elderly" seeks to assess how much of the council Celorico de Bastos is a friend of the early considering eight areas: Outdoor spaces and buildings; Transport; Housing; Social participation; Respect and social inclusion; Employment and civic participation; Communication and information; and Community services and health. We intend also to know the opinion of respondents on other areas such as the Social Support, Health Services, Leisures /Wellness, information/education, Educational activities, information / Wellness, and recreational activities. The main objective of this study is to know the current situation of the elderly in the council Celorico de Basto and intervention strategies to improve their quality of life. In the study, we found that most of the respondents felt the need to clarify at the outset that the country like, what feels good and happy to reside in the same, perhaps related to the fact that the respondents have lived in Celorico de Basto for most of their lives.
