Abstract
Toda e qualquer revolução nunca decorre sem que dela resultem mudanças
significativas para o futuro. A quarta revolução industrial promete e tem cumprido. Está
a modificar as empresas, a forma como nos relacionamos mas sobretudo, as pessoas.
Nunca longe e sempre incluído, o sistema bancário tem sentido esta quarta
revolução e a forma como as pessoas interagem com este e como este se insere na
sociedade está mudada. O banco está cada vez mais longe e ao mesmo tempo cada vez
mais perto. Parece um paradoxo mas é verdade, à medida que a revolução avança, a Banca
4.0 toma conta do dia-a-dia e altera os mais velhos hábitos instituídos.
Assim sendo, e subordinada ao tema “O impacto da digitalização nos serviços e
produtos bancários”, esta dissertação visa o estudo da evolução do setor bancário em
Portugal, o relacionamento entre clientes e instituições bancárias e que vantagens e
desvantagens apresentam as mudanças verificadas ao longo do tempo. Assim, temas
como a cibersegurança, marketing relacional e vários produtos e serviços bancários
surgem ao longo do trabalho. Por último são apresentados alguns estudos já efetuados em
Portugal e quais as conclusões retiradas por estes.
Na abordagem prática deste trabalho, são consideradas as opiniões via entrevista,
de protagonistas da digitalização do setor. A sua atividade, experiência e enquadramento
no sistema, permite-nos a recolha de informação bastante credível e relevante para o
estudo. A análise de todos os dados recolhidos permite obter certas conclusões bastante
interessantes.
A digitalização está a acontecer e é visível, tanto que poderão surgir produtos
novos e os serviços serão obrigatoriamente diferentes. Todo este impacto terá sempre que
ser balanceado com o impacto que o sistema regulatório e de supervisão tem no momento
da mudança.
Any revolution never takes place without significant changes for the future. The fourth industrial revolution promises and has fulfilled. It is changing companies, the way we relate but above all people. Never far and always included, the banking system has felt this fourth revolution and the way people interact with it and how it is inserted in modified society. The bank is getting further and further away and at the same time getting closer. It seems like a paradox but in reality it is true. Banking 4.0 takes over the day-to-day as the revolution processes, and changes the oldest established habits. Therefore and under the theme “The impact of digitalization on banking products and services”, this dissertation aims to study the evolution of the banking sector in Portugal, the relationship between customers and banking institutions and the advantages and disadvantages the changes verified over the time. Thus, topics such as cybersecurity, relational marketing and several banking products and services appear throughout this work. Lastly, some studies already carried out in Portugal and the conclusions drawn by them are presented. In the approaching of this work are considered witnesses of the sector’s digitalization via interview. Their activity, experience and framing in the system allows us to find very credible and relevant information for this study. The analysis of the collected data allows us to obtain certain interesting activities. Digitization is happening and it is visible, so much so that when new product appear, the services will necessarily be different. All this impact will always have to be balanced against the impact that the regulatory and supervisory system has at the time of the change.
