Abstract
O conflito entre o trabalho e a família é um tema de carater mundial. De acordo
com os estudos lidos e pesquisados no âmbito desta investigação podemos notar que tem
sido uma preocupação de muitas empresas a nível mundial. Muitas empresas tentam
conciliar estas duas vertentes de modo a melhorar o clima organizacional e o ambiente
familiar, deixando os trabalhadores mais satisfeitos e motivados.
Este trabalho tem como objetivo principal compreender o conflito existente entre o
Trabalho-Família (T-F) e analisar quais as vantagens em conciliar T-F. Pretendeu-se
também analisar as empresas certificadas em Portugal e quais os motivos desta
certificação. O estudo foi baseado numa metodologia qualitativa, através de um inquérito
online (realizado a 10-11-1012, integrado no anexo 5). A amostra foi constituída por 18
empresas. Também para este trabalho foi realizado um estudo de caso na empresa XZ
consultores, de modo a verificar o impacto da EFR na organização.
Os resultados obtidos relativamente a este estudo de caso é que mesmo antes da
implementação desta norma a cultura da empresa já estava alinhada com os valores desta
norma. As alterações verificadas só podem ser observados mais significativamente a
longo prazo, mas nota-se que os colaboradores tornaram-se mais motivados e mais
participativos nas atividades das empresas.
Relativamente ao inquérito realizado a conclusão obtida é que a norma EFR ainda
está numa fase inicial em Portugal, embora muitos atribuam elevado grau de importância
a esta norma e reconhecem ser uma vantagem competitiva para as empresas.
No final desta Dissertação são discutidos os resultados encontrados à luz da
literatura e apontados as limitações e os planos futuros desta investigação.
The conflict between work and family and a topic of global character. According to the studies read and studied in this investigation we can see that has been a concern for many companies worldwide. Many companies try to reconcile these two aspects in order to improve the organizational climate and the family atmosphere, leaving workers more satisfied and motivated. This work aims to understand the conflict between the Work-Family and analyze the advantages of conciliation Work-Family. The aim was also to analyze the certified companies in Portugal and what the reasons for this certification. The study was based on a qualitative methodology through an online survey (conducted at 10/11/1012, integrated in Annex 5). The sample consisted of 18 companies. Also for this paper we present a case study in business XZ consultores, SA in order to verify the impact of EFR in the organization. The results obtained for this case study, is that even before the implementation of this standard the company culture was already aligned with the values of this standard. The changes can only be observed in the long run significantly, but it is noted that employees become more motivated and more involved in business activities. For the survey the conclusion obtained is that the EFR standard is still at an early stage in Portugal, although many attribute high degree of importance to this standard and acknowledge to be a competitive advantage for companies. At the end of this dissertation we discuss the results on the literature and point out the limitations and future plans of this investigation.
