Abstract
O presente estudo pretende aferir a pertinência e o acesso à intervenção
motora).
The present study aims to assess the pertinence and access to early intervention in children with Trisomy 21, taking into account the families in which they are inserted and the information they have about the pathology. In this sense, we carried out a qualitative study of seven families (n = 7) in an intentional way according to their particular characteristics, namely the information they received and hold about Down syndrome (the services they had access to, implementation of the early intervention process and cognitive and motor evolution). The results obtained generally confirm that access to the early intervention program varies according to the parents' education, their area of residence, the particular situations of each family and the interest each family has in the development of the child.
