| person.description | Virgílio Félix Machado completed his PhD in Law on 2022/11/22 from Universidade Portucalense Infante Dom Henrique. He has a degree in Law from the Universidade Portucalense Infante Dom Henrique and obtained the title of specialist in the area of Law/Registries and Notaries, in 2012, under the theme "Os fins do registo e a função do conservador. Cessação dos efeitos do registo.", by Porto Polytechnic Institute. He is a Invited Adjunct Professor at the Porto Polytechnic Institute, a Invited Assistant Professor at the Universidade Portucalense Infante Dom Henrique and a Researcher at the Portucalense Juridical Institute. He has published several articles in scientific journals on the area of Registries and Notaries, being recognized nationally by his peers in this area. In the context of his scientific production, the main themes under his research are: the register; successive treatment; prior registration; continuity; justification; conversion of pledge into mortgage; tax liability; conversion of mortgage into pledge; nature of the guarantee; lack of legal personality; pledge; mortgage; registration; hereditary sharing; executive sales; sharing; pledge of hereditary shares; property; titulation; legitimization of rights; market and real estate law; market economy; divorce by mutual consent; principle of equality; new judicial tasks; constitutionality and fundamental rights; divorce; Business Registration; principles of commercial registration, among others.
