Abstract
Ao entrar para a escola as crianças vêem-se confrontadas com novos
problemas e desafios cada vez mais complexos. Uma resposta pronta e
adequada a estas novas exigências vai depender em grande medida das
experiências precedentes, assim como da qualidade das experiências actuais
vividas na escola.
O presente estudo pretende contribuir para uma reflexão acerca do
papel exercido pelo jardim-de-infância no processo de Socialização em
crianças com NEE de carácter permanente, para que facilite a sua integração e
”saber estar” na sua situação escolar – 1º Ciclo.
A par da constatação de um percurso escolar de sucesso no
desenvolvimento da Socialização para a grande maioria das crianças em
estudo, sublinha-se a existência de diferenças nas crianças que sustentam
diferentes práticas de Socialização nos dois momentos escolares.
When children start school they face new problems and challenges, which are more and more complex each day. A ready and adequate response to these new requirements will mostly depend on their previous experience, as well as on their current school life one. This study aims at promoting reflection on the role played by kindergarten on the process of Socialization of Special Education children with a permanent learning disability, in order to ease their integration and behaviour in primary school. In addition to the observation of a successful school life in the development of Socialization in most of the children who took part in this study, we underline the existence of differences among the children who have diverse Socialization practices in both school levels.
