Abstract
O mercado é composto por um conjunto de entidades, individuais ou coletivas que
procedem a processos de troca. Atualmente, os mercados são cada vez mais voláteis
e com o avanço da tecnologia as barreiras são transponíveis de forma célere.
Internacionalizar hoje é cada vez mais uma questão de atitude e de sobrevivência.
O presente relatório surge na sequência da realização do estágio curricular para a
obtenção do grau de Mestre em Marketing e Negócios Digitais Pela Universidade
Portucalense, desenvolvido na Agência para o Investimento e Comércio Externo de
Portugal (AICEP), uma empresa publica portuguesa vocacionada para apoiar a
internacionalização da economia portuguesa, através da promoção das empresas
portuguesas no estrangeiro e da captação de investimento para Portugal.
Pretende-se aferir da importância da internacionalização para o tecido empresarial
português e contribuir com o estudo em específico de um mercado internacional, com
foco no setor dos vinhos e cervejas.
Foi feito o estudo de mercado senegalês, necessário ao pleno conhecimento das
oportunidades e ameaças que uma empresa portuguesa poderá enfrentar ao operar no
mesmo, procedendo à caraterização da envolvente geral e competitiva.
Foi elaborado um relatório para suporte da AICEP em futuras reuniões com potenciais
clientes interessados em abraçar processos de internacionalização que contemplem o
país referido.
Do estudo e das atividades realizadas conclui-se da importância da internacionalização
para pequenas, médias e grandes empresas portuguesas e, ainda, da existência de
oportunidades em quantidade suficiente para que o Senegal seja um destino a
considerar.
The market is composed by a set of entities, individual or collective, that carry out exchange processes. Currently, markets are increasingly volatile and with the advancement of technology, barriers are quickly overcome. Going international, today, is key issue for any company to stay competitive and reduce risks associated to depending on just a market. This report is essential to allow getting the Master's degree in Marketing and Digital Business at Universidade Portucalense. An intership was developed at the Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade of Portugal (AICEP), a Portuguese public company dedicated to supporting the internationalization of the Portuguese economy, by promoting Portuguese companies abroad and attracting investment to Portugal. It is intended to assess the importance of internationalization for the Portuguese companies and contribute to the specific study of a possible international market, focusing on the wine and beer sector (Senegal). A Senegalese market study was carried out, necessary to fully understand the opportunities and threats that a Portuguese company may face when operating in it, proceeding to the characterization of the general and competitive environment. A report was prepared to support AICEP in future meetings with potential clients interested in embracing internationalization processes to this specific country. From the study and the activities carried out, it is concluded that internationalization is important for small, medium and large Portuguese companies and, also, that there are enough opportunities for Senegal to be a destination to consider.
