Abstract
O presente relatório insere-se no estágio curricular desenvolvido no âmbito do
Mestrado em Ciências da Educação – Especialização em Educação Social realizado na
Comissão de Proteção de Crianças e Jovens (CPCJ) de Valongo, tendo em vista a
contribuição prática para o reforço de conhecimentos teóricos adquiridos ao longo da
Licenciatura e Mestrado em Educação Social, especialmente aqueles que se reportam à
infância e às problemáticas subjacentes aos maus-tratos.
A problemática dos maus-tratos infantis embora presente no tempo e no espaço
das sociedades humanas, hoje apresenta-se como um problema social grave. A análise
de estudos epistemológicos do desenvolvimento da criança e de fatores etiológicos dos
maus-tratos, revela que a intervenção nesta área deverá ser a mais precocemente
possível, centrada na família e levada a efeito por uma equipa técnica pluridisciplinar. A
CPCJ de Valongo enquadra-se nestes requisitos uma vez que reúne uma equipa formada
nas diversas valências, com responsabilidade na intervenção social e com atuação
interinstitucional.
A atividade do estágio desenrolou-se em dois eixos principais. Numa primeira
fase procedeu-se ao conhecimento da instituição, população-alvo e princípios de
intervenção e numa segunda fase, identificadas as problemáticas relacionadas com o
mau trato, procedeu-se à observação do caráter interventivo da CPCJ, bem como dos
seus resultados obtidos na promoção dos direitos fundamentais das crianças / jovens.
This report is part of the traineeship developed under the Master in Education - Specialization in Social Education held in the Children and Young People Protection Commission (CPCJ) Valongo, aiming to a practical contribution to the strengthening of theoretical knowledge acquired during the Bachelor and Master in Social Education, especially those that relate to children and the issues underlying the abuse. The issue of child abuse although present in time and space of human societies, today presents itself as a serious social problem. The analysis of epistemological studies of child development and etiological factors of abuse shows that the intervention in this area should be as early as possible, family-centered and carried out by a multidisciplinary technical team. The CPCJ Valongo fits these requirements as it brings together a team formed in different areas, with responsibility for social intervention and institutional performance. The internship activity unfolded in two main axes. Initially it proceeded to the knowledge of the institution, target population and intervention principles and a second phase, identified the problems related to the mistreatment, proceeded to the observation of the interventionist character of CPCJ, as well as their results in promotion of fundamental rights of children / young people.
