empresa.
This report describes the curricular internship carried out at Voltface, within the scope of the master’s degree in management. The main objective of the internship was the practical application of knowledge acquired throughout the academic training, as well as the development of new technical and professional skills. The internship took place in a dynamic and innovative context, providing a real insight into the functioning of the company, namely in consulting, investment projects, accounting and taxation, and training. The main contributions of the internship at Voltface stand out for their practical and strategic relevance. For the company, the internship made it possible to consolidate and expand capabilities related to the development of business and investment plans, as well as consultancy matters, thereby aligning with market needs. For Voltface’s clients, the internship brought concrete benefits and added value by successfully supporting the development of diverse projects and by enhancing responsiveness to challenges throughout the client’s experience with the company. At the academic and scientific level, the internship allowed the application of theoretical management concepts in real-world contexts, enriching practical knowledge and promoting the integration between theory and practice. Additionally, a relevant contribution of this internship consisted of the preparation of a practical manual aimed at supporting academics and professionals in the field, serving as a reference guide for future applications and research. Throughout the internship, several relevant activities were performed, particularly the preparation of business plans and investment projects, within the projects department, namely under the Entrepreneurship and Self-Employment Support Program, in collaboration with the IEFP. This project development process, consisting of seventeen different steps – with the last two (descriptive report and economic feasibility) being the most demanding – was carried out multiple times by the intern for different promoters, with distinct projects and businesses, each with its own specificities, making the procedure highly challenging. Within the technical department, the intern worked on client management and applications for incentive systems, especially in consulting-related matters, further developing skills in Office 365, particularly Excel, to successfully complete 6 all tasks. These activities allowed for the consolidation of theoretical knowledge, the development of practical skills, and a direct contribution to both internal and external projects of Voltface. Finally, the intern also contributed to activities related to Margem, with the purpose of attracting companies to participate in training-action programs. The strategic aim of these initiatives was to mobilize the regional business community to take part in a structured business capacity-building project, thus contributing to strengthening local competitiveness. This initiative was aligned with a proactive planning approach and the provision of technical support to companies, reinforcing the association’s role as a key driver of regional economic development. In conclusion, the internship at Voltface proved to be a highly enriching experience, fully achieving the objectives initially defined. In addition to enhancing learning and enabling the practical application of knowledge, it also fostered the development of transversal skills such as teamwork, time management, and adaptability. Therefore, this experience represented an essential step in the intern’s professional preparation, strengthening the link between academia and the business world.
