Abstract
There has been increased pressure from policymakers, company managers, the media, suppliers and customers for companies to
implement green practices in their business models. The purpose is to combat climate change since companies are the main pollutants.
Implementing Green Supply Chain Management by companies can contribute to achieving environmental sustainability. In this
chapter, the concept of green supply chain management is described, as well as its evolution. Furthermore, potential drivers and
obstacles that companies face in the transition from conventional supply chain management to green supply chain management are
described.
