Abstract

This paper departs from an on-the-ground pilot case titled “In My Backyard? A citizen science pilot project on home farming and gardening”, led by Rio Neiva – Environmental NGO and its partner CEA – Municipal Centre for Environmental Education of Esposende, Portugal, aiming to support a long-term transition to sustainable backyards.2 It focused on a semi-rural region of northern Portugal, between the cities of Esposende and Viana do Castelo, during 2020.
