Abstract
No 2º Ciclo de Estudos do Mestrado em Ciências da Educação realizei um projeto de
intervenção social com os idosos do Centro de Dia de Melres.
A meu ver, este processo foi de grande importância a todos os níveis, quer na aplicação de
conhecimentos teóricos adquiridos ao longo do ano de licenciatura e mestrado, quer na prática,
ao permitir uma melhor compreensão da realidade envolvente.
O presente trabalho foi desenvolvido para pessoas idosas em contexto Centro de Dia, todas
com idades superiores aos 70 anos, com o intuito de melhorar a sua condição psíquica e
motora. Deste modo, foram desenvolvidas e implementadas ao programa, já existente do
Centro de Dia, atividades planeadas e orientadas para o Património e cultura da cidade da
residência, Porto. Um projeto de intervenção socioeducativa para um envelhecimento ativo.
Estas mesmas atividades serão intercaladas com visitas à cidade, por forma a complementar
os trabalhos desenvolvidos em contexto centro de dia.
Este percurso de trabalho busca cativar a pessoa idosa para atividades que o preencham e
acreditem, valorizando-o e sentindo-o vivo, fortalecendo-o do ponto de vista físico e psíquico,
através do que têm de mais precioso, a sabedoria e conhecimento da idade, intitulado de o
“Contentor das Memórias”.
In the 2nd Cycle of Studies of the Master in Educational Sciences I realized a project of social intervention with the elderly of the Center of Day of Melres. In my view, this process was of great importance at all levels, both in the application of theoretical knowledge acquired during the year of licentiate and masters, and in practice, by allowing a better understanding of the surrounding reality. The present work was developed for elderly people in the context of Day Center, all over the age of 70, with the aim of improving their psychic and motor condition. In this way, planned and guided activities for the Heritage, culture and mobility of the city of the residence, Porto, were developed and implemented in the already existing program of the Day Center. These same activities will be interspersed with visits to the city, in order to complement the works developed in the context of the day center. This course of work seeks to entice the elderly person to activities that fulfill and accredit him, valuing him and feeling him alive, strengthening him from a physical and psychic point of view, through what has the most precious, the wisdom and knowledge of the Age, entitled the "Container of Memories".
