Abstract

This book identifies opportunities and challenges for wine tourism and landscapes, illustrating how national and international tourism economics could support regional, national, or international policy establishment and improve territorial sustainability. It does not just focus on wine tourism and how it can contribute to sustainable economic development, it also presents an analysis of the importance of wine landscapes and natural and cultural heritage associated to it. Also, it evaluates how the actual challenges and opportunities could impact on wine landscapes, influencing positively and negatively tourism and also the development of local and regional areas.
