Abstract
O presente estudo tem como objetivo contribuir para o esclarecimento do papel da
liderança moral, enquanto facilitador do Comprometimento e dos Comportamentos de
Cidadania. Consideramos, no âmbito deste estudo, que a avaliação da Inteligência
Moral desempenha um papel muito relevante no foco e na base de Comprometimento
dos indivíduos nas organizações e nos Comportamentos de Cidadania Organizacional.
Interessa-nos, particularmente, estes dois últimos constructos, na medida em que a
literatura reconhece uma relação dos mesmos com a eficácia e a eficiência
organizacional.
Foi disponibilizado um questionário online, ao qual responderam 187 sujeitos, com a
condição de se encontrarem em situação ativa há pelo menos seis meses. Colocamos
como hipóteses, fundamentalmente, a relevância da avaliação que os sujeitos fazem
na base do Comprometimento e nível de Cidadania Organizacional.
Como resultados fundamentais, confirma-se o papel positivo da Inteligência Moral na
gestão do Comprometimento e melhoria dos Comportamentos de Cidadania, na
perspetiva de contribuir para o desenvolvimento de capacidades que permitam
ultrapassar limitações passíveis de influenciar uma boa gestão, enfocada em valores
conceitualizados e universais, potenciadores da obtenção dos melhores resultados,
sustentáveis, a longo prazo, como garantia da satisfação, motivação e bem-estar da
sua população.
The present study aims to contribute to the clarification of the role of moral leadership, as facilitator of commitment and citizenship behaviors. We consider, in this study, the evaluation of Moral Intelligence plays a very important role in focus and basis of commitment of individuals in organizations and Organizational Citizenship Behaviors. We are interested in, particularly, the latter two constructs in that literature recognizes the same relationship with the organizational efficiency and efficacy. An online questionnaire, to which 187 subjects responded, with the condition that they are in active status for at least six months was available. Put hypotheses, fundamentally, the relevance of evaluation that subjects make on the basis of level of Organizational Commitment and Citizenship. As key results, it is confirmed the positive role of Moral Intelligence in the management of Commitment and Citizenship Behaviors improvement in perspective to contribute to the development of capacities to overcome limitations that might influence good management, conceptualized and focused on universal values, enhancers optimum results, sustainable in the long term, as a guarantee of satisfaction, motivation and well-being of its population.
