Abstract
The aim of this study is to assess the importance of the weekly meeting for the «Group of Children» who has cerebral palsy and the impact of this meeting in terms of depression. The aim of this meeting is to find out strategies of coping in order to promote the autonomy and the social integration. 24 children with this syndrome were studied and observed in two different periods – t1 and t2 - half of the participants were under a group treatment during 10 weekly sessions, lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes each (Trial Group – GE) and the other half of the participants were not under any treatment (Control Group – GC).
After analysing the data, we could conclude that the GE (Trial group) who was under a specific treatment suffered less from a depressive syndrome. On the other hand, any change could be observed in the other group (GC).
