Gestão cultural nas bibliotecas escolares portuenses: um lugar no palco ou nos bastidores da escola?

Abstract

Resumo A partir deste estudo, pretende-se investigar de que forma é feita a gestão cultural nas bibliotecas escolares portuenses e se há alguma concertação de estratégias entre a direção, a coordenação de projetos (caso exista) e o professor bibliotecário. Procurar-se-á definir, igualmente, qual o papel da biblioteca ao nível interno e externo, isto é, no seio da comunidade educativa e na construção da sua imagem na sociedade: um ator no palco da escola ou nos bastidores da mesma. Por último, pretende-se compreender de que forma a gestão cultural da biblioteca poderá contribuir para a formação de públicos da cultura. Abstract With this study, we intend to investigate how the cultural management of school libraries in Porto is done and if there is a concurrence of strategies between the School Board, the Project Coordinator (if any) and the Teacher Librarian. We will also try to define the role of the library both in an internal and external level, that is, within the educational community and in building its image in the society: a stage actor in the school or behind its backstage. Finally, we aim at understanding how the cultural management of the library can contribute to create new audiences for culture.
